Anyone have any experience with the Pingel removable wheel chock? I finally got a trailer--mostly for my ATV, but I'm going to set it up to haul the bike as well and the Pingel chock comes up a lot when searching the net. Just wanted some opinions from those I trust before I buy.

Thanks in advance.

I have a removable and non in my trailer. I've seen people mount them where they had slack in the floor mounts and they rattled and didn't seem to want to stay down. I spent a lot of time measuring and drilling to make sure mine was the way I wanted it. Works really good. They send big washers to mount them just in the plywood floor, but I went ahead and bolted the mounts to a cross-frame on the trailer... it isn't going anywhere. I mount my bike down mainly with the rear straps and put the front on just snug in case a rear comes off. With the Pingle chock and just rear straps the bike is rock solid. I bought the wide chocks so I can put bikes in backwards if need be. The only thing I wish I had done diffrent is buy a Bexley (think thats right) motorcycle chock. You can take them out of the trailer and use them as a bike stand. They actually clamp onto the tire and hold the bike upright, which is what I need for the track bike. But, I had already bought the Pingle chocks and put them in the trailer. The Bexley Sport Chock cost about $200+.

I have them and they work great!!! No more getting the front and rear straps just right to balance the bike in there. Just ride the bike into the Pingel and strap it in. Have trailered my bike thousands of miles with the Pingels with no issues of any kind. Easy to use, the right tool for the job, and great peace of mind. Go for it. :waytogo:
