Ok, I just got the two Visibolts I ordered.

They're little bolts with LEDs in them. I'm ready to hook them up, but there's one problem. Coming out of each LED is just one wire. Shouldn't there be two wires, like any other bulb? One positive and one negative?

How am I supposed to hook this thing up? It didn't come with any instructions, just the two bolts. Wierd. Anyone have any experience with LEDs, or these things in particular?

Well, I'm guessing that the wire is the positive lead, and that the bolt itself is the ground. If it is not bolted to something that will provide a ground, you will have to run a wire from the bolt to a ground.

oh yeah! That was it, thanks man! /images/icons/smile.gif

These things are pretty cool. I put them in the lower corners of my license plate, they're actually pretty bright from directly behind. I grounded my license plate so the bolts would be grounded when I tightened 'em up, that worked like a charm.

They act nicely as supplemental turn signals, and you don't even notice them when they're not blinking. Sweet!
