I have recently bought a 94 YZF 750 and would like to use it for track days once the better weather arrives. What would be the best choice of tyre given that the bike is also used on the road, although only for a sunday morning blast so i am not to worried about wear rate.

25% track time, 75% road = Diablo
75% track time, 25% road = Corsa
100% track time = SuperCorsa = wrong forum

If you are only doing agressive riding (little to no commuting) then I would probably go with one of the track/street tires. Like the Diablo corsas. Pirelli isn't the only option out there. Dunlop 208GPs are really good. Michilin Pilot powers.... find which one works for you.

If you are a new rider (I assume that's why you posted in this fourm...), I'd suggest just getting a "normal" street tire--NOT a "street legal" race tire.
