No snow here yet, but they've forecast that we are to have it on Christmas Day...which is bloody typical. It hasn't snowed on Xmas day here in the UK for as long as I can remember, and the one year I don't want it we get it! :rolling:

Well no work today. My world is glazed, like a Krispy Kreme doughnut. I guess I'll go out and see what that thing hanging off the garage is.

Knowing a little about your neighborhood it might be a full sized car!

PEACE TJ!

It's a Seinfeld holiday. Instead of giving gifts, your air your greivences with everybody. Instead of a tree, you have a pole.

Well, no work for me today. I'm snowed in. We got 24" of snow the last 24 hours. And now the winds are picking up and it's going to start drifting like crazy. We are at a "Level 3" snow emergency. The police will ticket or arrest you if you're out driving.

ticket you for driving??? WTF???

We got the same amount of snow you did: I got stuck on my street and had some neightbors help push my car out.
I returned the favor by shoveling the bottom of their driveway... then helped out another neighbor who got stuck in his driveway.

When I left for work there was a drift at the bottom of the driveway that I drove thu - it went over the hood of the car. I consider it equivalent to "offroading".

Yep. We've been downgraded from a level 3 to a level 2. Here's the breakdown...

SNOW EMERGENCY

A snow emergency is classified by the use of three different level warnings. They are:

LEVEL 1 SNOW EMERGENCY:

Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow.

Roads are also icy. Caution should be used when driving.

LEVEL 2 SNOW EMERGENCY:

Roadways are extremely hazardous with blowing and drifting

snow. Only those persons who feel it is necessary to drive

should be out on the roadways. Your employer should be

contacted to see if you should report to work.

LEVEL 3 SNOW EMERGENCY:

ALL ROADWAYS ARE CLOSED to non-emergency traffic. No

one should be out during these conditions unless it is absolutely

necessary to travel. All persons should contact their employer

to see if they should report to work. THOSE TRAVELING ON

THE ROADWAYS MAY SUBJECT THEMSELVES TO ARREST.

That is total BS! /wwwthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif Level 3 is so vague how you do know if your situation is urgent enough?? Here in the Denver area there is nothing that specific but it never goes beyond the equivalent of level 2. A specific road may be closed but never a blanket closure of a whole area
