What would be the top speed on an 01 R6 bone stock? How about with 15 tooth front sprocket. The reason I ask is because some assclown is trying to tell me that his 01 R6 will go 180mph. I had to raise the BS flag on this one. I estimated that an R6 will go about 155 for a top speed. Any input from you R6 owners. :help:
bs...allll bs. i just bought an 03 r6 and hit 162 mph on the way home. i let off because i was coming up on a car. 180 im not sure but it definately does better than what some guy thinks he read in a magazine

it was properly broke in at 1500 miles...and for us experienced riders 162 is nothing...its ok ull be there one of these days, keep practicing. And it was not topped out yet at 162 was the point i was making. I will post when i have enough room to top it out. :waytogo:

You are the one who said you just bought it and went 162 on the way home... don't take offense when someone calls you out on it. Heck... I would of gave it to your more even... saying you were probably in a t-shirt and shorts too right? :rolling:
162 indicated is probably around 146 or so. Bike speedos are normally around 10% off at top end. So next time you decide to spout off about how fast you are... try talking in REAL MPH instead of indicated. Oh and don't post your faster runs... we don't care how fast you are.... plus we all know that the R6 will only do 157!

My '03 is only off by 3% at 100MPH. It's more accurate than a lot of the bikes I've seen. =) Not trying to be argumentative or anything, just a comment.
