What do you nothern guys do to keep yourself from going crazy during the offseason? If it wasnt for the constant 2 inches of snow on the ground i'd be riding in this weather. I sometimes go to my garage and start the bike, just to here it. I need a good bike fix. Anybody know of any free video games, downloadable movies, etc. that can help me out? I've watched biker boys and torque (sucks!) enough to know the words. I need something new. I hate Buffalo... :808922-fiddy:

I went to a big bike show today, looking for clubman bars or something for it. I couldn't find any, but that's no problem. I think I'll do like what you said, and just pick up some 7/8" tube on my way to visit my friend who has a mandrel bender.

Even if I bought something crazy like chrome-moly steel, the few feet I'd need for handlebars wouldn't cost very much.

All things to keep myself busy over the winter...

ChrisW...why don't you come up to Canada one day and hang out? It'll get you out of Buffalo for a day...

I actually live in niagara falls, ny which is 10 mins from buffalo and about 5 from the Canadien border. I go to Daily planet a lot witch is a club in St. Catherans I believe? I also go to the falls view casino a lot. Where exactly do you live?

I live up in Mississauga, which is about twenty minutes away from Toronto. It's about an hour and a half to the border. I have a few friends on the Niagara peninsula, so I go there quite a bit. It's not unusual for people who live near the border to jump over for lunch and go back an hour or so later. It's like the border isn't even there. I'm sure saying that won't make Canada or U.S. Customs happy, but so what.

I'm not sure what the other eSB Canucks are up to these days (sure as hell not riding!) but maybe we can find an excuse to head down to Niagara on the Lake or something to have lunch and bitch about the weather.

lol, sounds like a good time. Are you a clubber? Maybe a night at a club or bar, will make the weather bitching a lot more enjoyable????

Man, do what I did--move (lived in Erie PA)--I rode twice last week, around 55 degrees. This week is supposed to hit 70. If I could get rid of all the ******** the south would really Kick ass!!

Dunno - Is this the type of clubman bars you are looking into??

I have had to do a lot of fiddling to get the angle just right, and I filled the ends of the bars with fishing wieghts to keep the vibes down, but for about $55, it's a price that can't be beat. Tomaselli clubman bars. Pretty authentic looking :waytogo:

ChrisW - cinmike, and I (I know for fact) go down to the NOTL for breakfasts quite a bit in the summer. It's a nice ride, with a good little restaurant to eat at. Maybe all us Canucks will show you a good time sometime

You bring the lube

Hey GS

Yeah, I like the look of the bars you put on your bike. I can't remember...that time I sat on your bike last summer...was that post- or pre- mod? I realize that the mods I do to the CB aren't exactly going to make it an ideal long distance cruiser, but if I can get the "look" with the best ergos for a 6'2" rider, then I'll go for that.

There's all kinds of different styles available. Hopefully I can find a place that has some on the wall.

Oh, and how can we be generous hosts if we insist that our guest brings his own lube?

That was pre-mods

If you can find a store that has various types of bars on the wall, give me a call! Since they don't sell a lot of them, I would think it would be very hard indeed to find a store that has them on the wall. Best thing to do is to look through parts books (NOT Parts Canada...they don't seem to have enough of a selection)

Oh yeah...

Maybe a flat drag-style bar would be in order...or even fork mounted clip-ons; that would look wild!

Motogp for xbox but its not free...and its really hard. You can unlock some cool movies in career mode. Then again, I can just walk into the garage and go for a whirl. Its about 80 here today. NaHa!

That reminds me us Buffalo/Candain people need to do a ride or some time when the weather becomes more agreeable with riding. Remeber that warm spell we had a few days ago... well i was out on my bike doing some short runs around town. I couldnt resist. The only problem that i ran into was the fact that then after doing that i had to give the baby a bath, the salt on the roads would have killed her.

Maybe he was taking it home from the dealer. I saw the same thing in February once, except the guy was picking up his brand new R6. What a crappy time to take the first ride on your new bike.
