I am trying to install a frame slider for my clutch cover on my 1999 R1. I have looked through the service manual but can't find the size of socket required to get the pivot shaft nut loose. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

The manual says it is a 18mm thread size which should give you a 28 mm socket.

I just went outside to try it but I only have a 20 mm socket. I also have a 1 inch socket and they both were too small. I am 95 percent sure that it will be the 28 mm! Good luck. /images/icons/smile.gif

I tried the 32mm socket that I have for the rear sprocket, and it was too large. So, 28mm sounds like it could be correct. Thanks for you time and effort.
