I think it looks pretty good. Only downside is the heat wrap on the pipe, probably a necessity, though. Is there any difference in sound and ride (ie warmer?)?

i would Have to take that tape off ... what about a heat shield behind your heal? .... that wrap man, i tell you doesnt do much for that nice polished swing arm you got there

The wrap was my choice. I wanted to be sure that my boot did not melt and to keep it cool by the battery. After a hard run you can put you hand on it without a burn. As for the sound, its great. Its not to loud, but not stock sounding. I will be doing some dyno runs that I will post. Thanks

I think it looks sweet. I had a leo vince high mount on my 929. The only problem was the pipe rose so quickly that when I was on the balls of my feet my boot was always rubbing the pipe. Do you find this a problem with your set up?

GreenRob! My boot does in fact rub the pipe which is why I chose to use the heat wrap. I`m a size 13us. It may not look nice to some,but my other concern was the amount of heat by the battery. The pipe is only 1.5" away from the battery. I also have 2 kids that are very interested in my bike and often forget what do not touch means. I can touch the wrap while its running and not get burned.

Thanks to everyone for your opinions. This exhaust was a winter project of mine. I crafted the entire system myself just to call it my own. Thanks again.

here's an idea for you....paint the wrap with exhaust header paint...black would not stand out and it would not interfere with the job that the tape is doing ie:keeping everything cool back there...just a thought for you...very nice looking bike

it looks good, apart from the heat wrap. Would of looked cleaner if the piping went in the inside of the swing arm instead of the outside. But thumbs up!!!

Thanks coujer! I did not have the room to run it through the swingarm by the shock. It would need to have a custom swingarm. I`m considering posting a pic with a heat shield instead of the wrap though. I did not know that so many people disliked heatwrap. The wrap will remain on the pipe under the seat by the battery box. Thanks again!

The wraps don't add to the looks, but from what I've heard they do give you a lot more consistent power. The only problem is your pipes are supposed to burn up a lot faster.

The wrap is not pretty but it does in fact have a purpose and so far it is serving that purpose perfectly. When I come up with an alternative I will change it.

Great looking bike- I know what you mean with the kids, my daughter always runs up to the bike when I get home. Good move. I noticed you removed the turn signals, track only bike?

Thanks cam2. It has always amazed me how much kids like bikes. The front turn signals are now in with the headlight and the rear are in the tail. I wanted the bike to have a clean race look to it. I will be doing a couple of track days this summer though. Thanks again.
