I have owned a Corbin for all of my bikes.

They are made to spread your butt apart to reduce all you weight on one place.

I have the Corbin with the gel inserts now. It is very comfy.

I have got a sargent seat on my 'superchicken' and its great. I have had corbin but like the previous post states, very heavy and not as comfortable. I can recommend a great site for the purchase, check out cyclesaddles.com. The owner is first class and provides great service his price is the same as from sargent.

I have had a Corbin on My CBR1000 now for 2 years. It's still perfect and incredibly comfortable. It felt like a new bike! It's a bit heavier than stock but with WAY more comfort. The quality is amazing and it looks much better than the stock seat. I do a bit of 2 up riding and it made it much more fun. My passenger kept sliding into me when coming to a stop but this was eliminated with the seat. Took about 3 weeks to arrive at my doorstep. Good luck!

Man, I miss that bike.
That thing was fun and comfortable.
My Corbin on my CBR1000f was about 5 years old with 40,000 miles, when we parted.

GR8VFR, So you got rid of it and got a VFR? VFR's are great machines too. I love my CBR1000. I keep thinking that I might keep it when I get a new bike... there's just something special about it. I want a 1300cc CBR1100xx with world beating power, aluminum frame, dual headlights and fuel injection. Everything the 1000 doesn't have. If Honda doesn't step up, the new ZX-12R is SURE LOOKING GOOD!

Geeze U wanna put a heavyweight soft pipinged saddle on a sportbike, you should be shot! Instead get an iron fingered latex covered bike seat that 'Tour De France bicycle riders use on speed days for 30km and then sell to S&M retail establishments as slightly used torture devices.
Oh by the way I've had six Corbin seats on various so called sportbikes with no complaints except dry rot after years in the sun. I have one on my current VTR. I have also heard that Sargent makes comfortable mounts at somewhat better prices. I would try and get some more feed back but I don't think you could go wrong with either choice.

well I had a corbin on the VTR already and I had no complaintes.
I sold it cause I got new paint and the color welt didn't go.
I ended up going with the Corbin again only because it has the option of adding a passenger back rest and the Sargent doesnt.
They both seem to be very good seats and if it wasn't for that one thing, I would have tried a Sargent.
Thanks everyone for your input.

There are little differances between the two seats. the look is the first differance, the second one is that the sargent has a little case for additional storage under the driver part of the seat, and lastly the sargent has integrated hooks that pop out from under the passanger area for hooking up a net or a bag. I have had both and liked them both. Good luck

when in doubt, gas it!!!
