I received my EBC rotors yesterday [yippeee!]/images/icons/cool.gif and will be installing them as soon as I get my rims back. (Hmmm - Oh yeah, almost forgot - I need to order new pads too/images/icons/tongue.gif)

Any suggestions or tips from the pros on installation?
Do they have to be prepped or anything before use?
Any idea where I can get RC51 torque specs outside of spending $60 for the manual and waiting 2 weeks for it?

Thanks!

bad_dog, since you're changing pads as well, it's a pretty straightforward swap. No prep necessary. The only thing I'd recommend is when tightening the disc bolts don't go around in a circle but tighten one then the one across from it etc. That's all I got. Lemme know if you need anything else from the Service Manual.

Yeah if your doing the rotors you might as well do the brake lines. /images/icons/laugh.gif And one of those thinggies that tells you, your disk lock is on the bike./images/icons/smile.gif

[Whew] - Thanks LordJ, I appreciate the specs. According to the instructions, the install seems pretty straightforward, until you get to the part about making sure the pads are square & centered, and installing shims. Simple but tedious. I hope I don't have any problems. I figured I'd just go for the EBC pads, - do you think the HRC pads wouldn't be right?

LOL - Yes Adam, that was the FIRST thing I bought! /images/icons/smile.gif

Mirage - yeah I picked up a set of ss lines as well - I can't let you have the only cool-looking Honda on LI /images/icons/smile.gif Besides, I could use the added braking power.

BD~ There's a tremendous diference between rubber and SS. Even though I went with Galfer lines/pads, this is an upgrade which is well worth it. Just be careful when you take your maiden voyage. I'd hate to hear about an unexpected endo! /images/icons/crazy.gif
