Finally removed the RS decals last weekend. Actually came off relatively easy without the decal removal product. I just took my time and used a heat gun and off they came. Not used to the look yet though. Kinda naked looking. If I put anything back on it will be a little more subtle than the decals were (like yellow is subtle anyway). I priced the decals before I removed them and the dealer wants $136 EACH! WOW!!! (I assume each side, not each sticker). Took a little time to screw up the courage to peel off $272 in stickers.

The chrome material is just too far over the top for this bike; maybe a solid black or some other more subtle color would be more appropriate. So, do you think they would offer a $272.00 discount if you could order it without those decals? Or apply that amount towards a belly pan? Nah! /images/icons/laugh.gif

Yeah, I'd have taken the discount! I'm toying with 2 ideas if I decide to put something back on. One idea is a small side by side RS decal. I was thinking black outline letters, not solid, and hopefully in a letter style similar to the tank and rear. Other idea is a fairly small sized Union Jack. I was thinking if I could find a decal of a waving or wind blown Union Jack that would look best. That's kind of the way I'm leaning, but not sure yet. Nice thing about decals is if they don't look good or you get bored, you can remove them.

I like that Union Jack idea. Perhaps you could get one of those "ghost" decals. They are subtle.

Love the belly pan on the bike, really adds some style. The Triumph ST/RS decals are quite loud, looks much cleaner with out them.

Hey dude, the bike looks great! I know what you mean about the Triumph decals, I priced them for the Daytona when I wanted to paint it British Racing Green, they were about 600 bucks total, forget it! Anyway, have you been able to ride much lately? Nothing but rain and snow here, it really sucks! Looking forward to more of your bike mods!

Personally, I like my bike with the stickers, but maybe I'm just cheesy like that. Don't get me wrong, it looks pretty good without....maybe it just takes some getting used to.

Ok Sean,
Here's just one small decal for you ;-). Not sure if I'm going to stay with this, but it's what I've come up with for now. I really liked the "shattered flag" decals on the Speed Triple and Daytona but you have to buy the complete rear decal sets at $40 each. Might do it anyway some day but have to be a time when $80 is less important. I'm about ready to order the rear sets from Jack Lilley's (now that I've given up hope of finding them anywhere else on the planet) and $450 is going to hurt. Thanks everyone for the opinions and advice.
