Hey all, i have been a visitor for about a year now and I really enjoy this site. i have a 99 900ss and i was wondering what are the things that i sould check on a regular basis adn what routine matience is done and when it is done. i am trying to avoid having to go to the shop cause they just charge too much. thanks for the help

oil and filter u can change urself, u should do it around every 2500 miles.
if u ride every day lube the chain once every week using o-ring safe lube. Doing so will prolong the chain and sprocket's life, and will also protect u from the chain snapping on u while riding.
keep the bike clean.
thats pretty much all i can think of right now.
PS. forgot the most important thing, and this is very important must be done atleast once everyday. straddle the bike between ur legs. lean forward, put ur arms around the tank and put ur cheek against the filler cap, maintain the position for atleast 60 seconds... and be thankful.
