This object just jumped from a 2 to a 4 on the 10 point Torino impact scale. It was the first object ever rated higher than a 1 and then it was upgraded to a 4 yesterday. Still less than a 2% chance of impact, but it marks a significant rise in threat. Last I knew scientists were only scanning about 3% of the sky, and they kept saying "its the one we don't see that will get us!"
