I went for a little test ride today with the new Arrow E-prom.
First I let her warm up, WITH THE KICKSTAND DOWN!!! Wooohoo!!!(Thanks to the Kickstand Interlock)
Then for a quick spin around the block.
To tell you the truth, I didn't expect much of a difference.
Man O Man, I'm glad I was WRONG.
Right away, I could tell.
No stumble from a dead stop at all.
More power at all RPMs. Honest!
at 5Gs I could blip the throttle and up comes the front!
I could only get her up to 8Gs cause I was bombin' around town and kids just got out of school. But Man-Alive!!
MORE POWER!!!

FastFob,

Do you have the arrow pipes on your bike as well? When you put the chip in, did you do it or let the shop?

James (Motowheels) said that you can just put in an eprom chip yourself... he said is wasnt absolutely necessary to have the shop tweak the settings with their "gameboy/computer". I'm still a little leary of that, concerned about long term valve damage.

As for blipping the throttle at 5K and bringing the nose up... your 996 should be able to do that stock anyway. My friend's 996 does with just the Termi pipes and no chip (except he's hittin it about 7K).

kramrd= I don't have Arrow Pipes. I have "FF Specials". (Cored Stock Pipes)
I Installed the chip myself.
