I am looking for a spare helmet. I currently have an Arai RX7-RR4 and love it. I have heard some good comments on the OGK helmets, but have never seen one in person. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of these? My Arai is great, but another RR4 would be expensive. (I know, no price is too big for safety but.....)

The OGK fits better than the Shoei-RF800 that I had... OGK's also run about a size smaller. That is, I wear a Large Shoei but a Medium OGK. Maybe they have smaller heads in Japan?
Anyway, DexDirect has a sizeing guide on their website... just measure the circumference of your head at the eyebrows/temple... it was correct for me.
The OGK has a built in plastic breath guard that sometimes touches the front of my nose when I'm doing 120mph+... but never had the chin touch. The helmet is just as noisy as any other helmet... maybe even a little more with the design of the side plastic that holds the visor in place?
But, the rear wing actually works... little to no helmet lift at high speeds
The foam pads on the inside also snap in and out so you can take them out for washing.
The visor also has two little knobs, one on each far side for "tear-offs"... the helmet came with three smoked tear-offs and a pretty cool helmet bag that you can wear like a back pack. Not as cheesey as Shoei's bag.
Over all, a pretty trick helmet that no others have in my town.

Got mine over a year ago(paid $359 for a solid) and I love it. Trust me when I say that it will not be a "spare" after you try it. This is mine when I got it back from Troy Lee.

thats a clean helmet...hey Blade hows the fit and quality on that compared to arai..im thinking about getting the FF3 GP ultralight and want some opinion..also where did u get yours? thks bro

The fit is actually very simular to Arai and is a little lighter in weight. I got it from dex direct. They shipped really fast. After I got it I sent it to Troy Lee to be chromed($200). Make sure you order extra tearoffs and an extra visor so you do not have to pay overseas shipping just for a visor.

No OGK in california. I tried asking a few places and they never even HEARD of it. It WILL NOT be a spare helmet i gaurantee. You'll get so many questions about it when you wear it out you will end up wearing it all the time.
Nice Dave Jeffries helmet. Looks plenty better in a real picture then it does on most websites because its not an actual image. Just a drawing. This helmet can only be ordered. Unless mine doesnt fit and someone wants to buy it.. haha

anyways i got a question about the size...i asked few people about it and wanna get some opinion.
i wear a med Arai and a med HJC..i measured my head and its about 56 1/2cm i was lookin at the sizing chart on dexdirect and it says 55-56cm small and 57-58cm med...this sizing chart is also the same at Helmetharbor.com and it says Arai med, which fits me very very well is 57-58cm. and according to kramrd..the OGK runs a size smaller..what size did u get Nem and did u get a size smaller? thks

i didnt get mine yet. I was hoping it would come in today but it better be in tomorrow. I measured a 57 and i was gonna order either a medium or large but i went with the medium from their recommedation. The reason why i chose the large was after trying on several mediums and larges in different manufactureres and styles i fit just about both. I would go with a medium.
