I remember drewling over this bike a while back. I wish I had the $$$ to buy one back then. Correct me if i'm wrong but I think it had a sticker price of $27,000 without the race kit, which bumped it up to $40-$48,000, and that was when a top shelf 600 was only $4000 or so.

If anyone is really that interested, I know a guy who has a low mileage never raced RC45 for sale. He wants 20 grand, but I'm sure he'd consider serious offers.

I haven't ridden his, but I've ridden another friend's RC45. They're neat bikes, but they are REALLY small. Teeny tiny. Plus, they were designed for the track, so the gearing is kinda goofy. Real tall first gear. A lot like my 96 ZX-7RR.

It's still beautiful after all these years...

I was in college, around 1989. There was a cycle shop across the street from school and my buddy Adam and I would go over there and drool all over the RC30 they had displayed up on a little podium. We must have killed hours in that damn shop.

Fast forward to 2002. I have a '01 ZX6R and Adam has a '98 ZX6E. The dream of an RC30 is the reality of affordable 600's!

A guy i used to ride with , about 2 yrs ago had one. AND i remember the day clearly when he was in front of me and wadded it up.. oh gosh..i wanted to cry, he was fine , but alot of damage to that sweet ride, he had insurnce that paid him like $15k and he kept the bike and bouth another one.. a few months later..
