Anyone have any info on the cost of the new micron high mount.....seen it in this months Motorcyclist
The high mount is finally extra high fitted to side of tail like MIG * Devil etc.
I just purchased the old mid high mount for my R1...all I would need is the new higher replacement connector pipe (can this be sold separately??)

Also is the rubber circle definately needed when installing a high pipe while retaining the foot pegs...I think I have enough clearance without it?

I believe you can get the connector from Micron.
The Micron canisters are the best looking by far.

Remember: There is ALWAYS a fasteR1thanU !

Call Micron... they can be sold seperately. Although you might be a little surprised with the price.

I paid almost 160.00 for mine from Micron, but damn does it look good!

i paid 150 for the hi mount mid pipe with hardware kit...including tax from cycle depot

When I had mine I got it from Discount Tire for $380. They might look good but they are crap...Mine cracked in a Week. I stuck with the Arko like I had on my 01. IMO I think the Arko sounds better. I also felt a little more power out of it

I dont understand how a pipe would crack on its own. Where did it crack?

The color on the can spiderwebed, I know of a few others that did the same

yeah i have one of the blue to silver fades and within a week it had hair line cracks all over it but i kinda liked the way it looks so i deceided to keep it. you can only see the cracks in direct very bright light. on a gray overcast day you would never see them.

I personally think Airmengoob's Akro looked better than his Micron anyway. I've heard alot of microns rattle when the bikes are revved. Might be all the damn springs holding the $hit together! What is there something like 18 on a full system?! You do get what you pay for when buying an exhaust.

there is 4 springs on a Micron full system.. unless your talking about a full $100,000 race bike engine ..and then they have a few extra..!

get what u pay for? the akra IS NOT better build quality than Micron ... Micron only has 2 springs at the collector and 2 at the can which you really dont need with the band clamp ...
