ok people with the serpent headers on their 929s..do u have to remove the header to replace the ol filter or is there enough room between the header pipes?

/images/icons/shocked.gif I don't have the system, but I'd be shocked by any system where the headers had to be removed everytime you wanted to change the oil. Do you plan on getting the system for your F4i?

Steve the answer is NO! You dont have to remove the headers for an oil change!

ny2nj, alot of old gixxers you had to do this to get to the oil. yosh headers on a 97 gix 1100 for ex

Cool thks Evo9..just got an email frrom Micron saying thhe serpent headers for the F4i is due end of march...damn i cant wait..i want it. thks again

Yup Micron just called me the other day to answer a question I had. He told me that the serpant should be out in the next couple of weeks for the F4i. He's suppose to look into wether or not I can use my Micron can from the other model full system to the serpant header. He wasn't sure off hand. $590 for just the header so I'll have to look into it!

I wonder if the headers will work well with an Erion slip-on. Ah phuck it, I ain't gonna spend another 600$ on this bike. I gotta start saving for my RC

I can only imagine how inconvenient this must be. I change my oil pretty often, but if I had to remove the headers everytime I might throw more miles on between changes. I can't believe Micron doesn't have the Serpent for the F4i yet considering the two year schedule these manufactures are using now for redesigns.

actually the serpent headers are designed to go around the oil filter so you can reach straight through and grab the oil filter like the header wasnt even there. see pic
