\"low-sided\"

hey everyone! so it's FINALLY in the sixties here in New England and my husband and I take a leisurely ride to breakfast. We're on our way to get stickers for our beautiful bikes--our brandy new tires JUST DELIVERED and sitting in our garage. I take a very MILD turn-doing around 20 (truly)..my old tires go a little weird, I end up on the right side of my new bike in someones gravel driveway. Sux. Just thought I'd share my first accident with ya. I feel like such an idiot.
I'm fine---not even a bruise...my husband is fine(he watched the whole thing) and my bike has a TON of cosmetic damage but runs well still. Jeez.... hope your day has gone better that mine. Keep smiling!

Bummer. Glad you're ok, though. I hope you have your bike looking better than every soon.

Re: \"low-sided\"

Sorry about the lowside. While it sucks to go down you did so without injuries and that is always a plus.

Very sorry to hear, but you need to at least follow tradition and post pics.

It is a tradition now isn't it?

Sorry to hear about your 'mishap'. At least it was a slow get-off & that you were unhurt. Plastic is repairable or replaceable. You're not.

Cold tires, sand and/or salt on the roads = low-side. Live & learn.

Re: \"low-sided\"

Nantz,

You should be celebrating. A 20mph lowside is a MUCH better way to find your old tires lacked traction than a 70mph highway drop.

Glad to hear you're ok - the bike can be repaired, the rider is much more valuable.

I've learned on a motorcycle it's best to hurt your ego a bit than your body.

Both will heal, but the scars show more when you hurt your body.

Re: \"low-sided\"

hey everyone! thanks for all the great wishes--and the advice. (I always smile) Louie was afraid I wouldn't get back on--12 years of marriage and he STILL doesn't know me! {wink} The only problem I had was looking down at the trashed plastic. Mechanically perfect. Now..better than it was. Pics coming soon. Thanx again everyone!

Great news, Nantz.

Plastic is fixable. Someone else suggested looking on ebay for reduced prices.
