The shop I go to said that I didnt need to buy a jet kit for my 2001 ZX9R when I put a pipe on it. They said they could put bigger main jets on it from parts they had and that it wasnt neccesary to get new jets. I was wondering what you guys think. Should I still get a kit or just let the shop replace the main jets and adjust the carbs. I would like to see the power curve smoothed out a bit.

Just wait till I post my dyno tomorrow. It's a 00' 9r with a slip on and Ivan's jet kit. It's dyno curve is super straight and power is rockin. A friend also had it done and has very similar results.

I first put a M4 slip-on on. It felt like it needed rejetted after this. Anyways after jetting the bike was breathing great. I'll post my results tomorrow with the pic of the dyno. The guy doing the dyno said it was one of the straightest curves he's seen. Plus it was the most powerful 9r he's seen come through, although it was a Suzuki shop.
