I am planning a ride on Jan 9,2005. The loop os shown Here. It would be great if you guys could join in on the fun. If any of you can make it i would be more then willing to meet you at that little store in Santa Paula on the 150/12th street. We could do the loop and have lunch at pine mountain, And would be great fun for all
Hopfully this will be the last rain till after the ride. Since it tends to snow up der on them dar hills. As it stand's i will be keeping a close watch on the weather.
And to top it all off. i would be your " SEXY ESCORT " back to the 126.

I did home (Ojai) to Frasier park on Christmas day and I'm pretty sure you're gonna be in trouble after all this weather. All was clear up the 33 (beware the shaded areas obviously) but the Cerro section right after Frasier park was bad enough to force me back through Lockwood Valley, and that was before all this weather. God only knows what surprises await following 8 inches of rain / snow.

Great ride but hard to plan in the winter months for sure. Have fun if you go, ride safe.

PS - you're only planning this on a January Sunday because the Raiders are W A Y out of playoff contention arent ya? - arent ya? [dig dig]

I'm pretty sure they'd be mathematically in the running if they were in the NFC!! :frown:

I won't be hitting the 33 until March.

How about 23 & 150 - luch in Santa Barbera or Carpinteria?

My Packers would prob loose to the Steelers cheer leading squad, but atleast we're IN THE PLAYOFFS!!!

For the moment....

The 150 stays wet and crappy as well, but certainly better than that 4000+ ft alt stuff. It's that play it by ear time of year.

first off i wouild like to say that da Raiders are going thru a transtional period this season  And yes i dont belive thier are any playoffs at all this year that i know of. To bad they canceled the Super Bowl as well  . Know on to the important subject. Yea 33 could be a bear. I was hoping it was not cold enough to snow. And yea the back side of 33 is always a mess around this time of year. Might be best if we keep c;lose to the coast. What about a ride to the stagecoch Inn the one off 150 towards the lake behind SB ? Pacifo ypu know the place i am speaking about ? That would be fun maybe the folks from LA have never been there. I am not sure it is even open.. Even if it is not we can alays turn around and head back to SB.
Your thoughts and ideas are always welcomed. :waytogo:

Cold Springs Tavern - know it well. I'm out that weekend, be in Mex. Cold springs is a bit more highway than I tend to prefer, but it might be the only game in town. Wear warm clothes, they don't call it cold springs for nothing. Did you get a bike? Congrats if so, we'll have to hook up later when things thaw out a bit.

PS: IMO the Raiders need to rebuild the position currently held by Al Davis. Do that and the rest will fall in line. :applause:

33 loop is out. Just saw the web cam for pine mountain. friggin snow everywere. Naw no new bike yet. My lovley wife has allowed me to take her FZR600. i think we can get away from 2 much freeway driving. can take the back roads to meet up with 150 to get to Cold Springs Tavern. So are you saying it is open this time of year?

Al Davis is a Football Genuis. You Know it as well as i do

Cold springs is off the 154 (San Marcos Pass) by lake Cachuma, not the 150 and I think it's open year round, yes. Harley's are certainly there year round. Call ahead if you're concerned but I'm quite sure they're open. Fun spot in the summer. I haven't been there in the winter for years.

I believe I rode with you, your wife, Alan and a couple other people a few years back. Wound up in Carp at what used to be Chuy's. I was on a ZX9 then. I remember your wife's FZR, that'll do nicely. :waytogo:

Have a fun ride

Pacifico

PS: No, Al Davis is not a football Genius :808876-nono: , but it's a moot point. He'd move that team to Mexico City for a nickel extra per year. Better practice Spanish...

you are right stagecoach rd is located off the 154 not the 150. i was pretty close though  I did call ahead i dialed 1-800-PAC-IFICO :waytogo: I Remember riding with you and ending up in carp. that was quite awhile ago for sure. you still riding the ZX9? Have fun in mexico. we will hook up soon for sure. Yes Al is legendary for his antics with his team and the NFL. Must be pretty bad considering his right hand man left to go to TB after gruden left.. Only time will tell, wonder if his daughter will run the org. after he retires. Oh by the way while you are in mex be sure to spot a new place for the Raider stadium
