A desperate cry here. I only have class for a grand total of 3 hours a week and after day one I'm completely bored :frown:. I got so much done today that I've narrowed down tomorrow to chopping wood and working out . I know that I'll be bored out of my mind if I don't find something to do and making some money seems like a good option .

If anyone knows of a job in Seattle please let me know. I was hoping to find a job/person that would teach me some skills like sheet rocking, framing, roofing or something similar to that while I'm helping out. I really don't want to be forced into serving a double tall vanilla latte to some Ahole that deserves to be beaten through the drive up window.

Any leads would be great, thnx :waytogo:

so you don't need to work for the money, just for something to do....could try volunteering somewhere too. Anything to do with your field of study or just any charity, might come in handy on job resumes later too. Working out is always great if you have the time, like you said...try and stick with that.

Yeah, I've got the volunteer thing down but good idea. I volunteered at the Children's Hospital in the ER just until a month ago. I put in a years worth of time and accumulated roughly 100 hours. Now I'm thinking of serving food to the homeless at a church on Sundays. I've done it twice before but you'd be amazed at how many of them yell at you because you don't give them enough free food. Kinda sad I guess.

Anyhoo, I need some money. The ZX-11 is getting jealous of the TLR but it desperately needs a valve adjustment before I take it out anymore. Besides, I'm looking to buy a house with a buddy and would like to know some home care stuff.

Thanks Alan, I've been checking craigslist. It's such an awesome sight. Gotta love the free stuff. Anyhow, I've found a lead to volunteering myself as a subject for money. Last year I made $150 for getting drunk and watching some '70's porn. There's a website that has a bunch on there for as much as $3000 so I might try one of them and take my time looking for a better job.

Also, you should know since you live just north of me, that today is amazing. A little cold but stick to the sunny areas and it's good riding. I took the day off :rolling: to wander REI and ask about jobs.

No, it just required you to drink Everclear and cranberry juice until you got up to a .08 bal. Then you sat in a room with a computer on the desk, placed a little rubberband on you to see how sexually aroused you were and watch the movie. Afterward you answered some questions and then when it was all said and done they explained that they were seeing what effects alcohol had on influencing men to become too sexually agressive towards women and making poor judgement calls. In the do you have any advice box I might have mentioned they'd get better results with a newer film with younger actors. Hey, I was drunk.

Not much going in terms of internships for Public Health but that's all right. I was accepted into a study today and I make $1600 for research on my blood and how it reacts to a blood thinner used on stroke patients. Lucky me, the testing is done outside the body . All I have to do is donate my blood at small intervals and eat what they tell me to. Only last for 3 weeks too and a total of 6 visits. Not bad...I guess this brings me to another question...

Have any of you out there done some stupid things like this to make money or get that valve adjustment done? /wwwthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Legend has it Robert Rodriguez, director of such films as Spy Kids, From Dusk Till Dawn, and Desperado, did medical testing to get enough money to shoot his movie El Mariachi.
