Anybody watch any flat trackers? I don't know much about it, do they use current models or are they a one off type of thing like motogp bikes? Obviously the price is so high on that bike is because it is a piece of that racing series history, but also I guess it can be a piece of motogp history too, being that a gp champ rode it.

Most flat track bikes seem to be harley based. Don't know much about them myself but seems like a Hel* of a lot of money for something 28 years old you can't even ride.

Or maybe the Kenny Roberts collection--the bit about KR's old rides coming up for sale only rarely is because he owns a lot of 'em and isn't interested in selling.

And the reason the price is so high is because it (allegedly) IS a bike formerly ridden by King Kenny, although in many cases that may just mean the bike has the original frame.

Here's a great story that provides some background on another significant KR bike that gives some idea as to their value and history: soup
