i put in a racetech system front and rear on my 98 gsx-r750..and used their oil....it leaks!!!

im wondering if a regular 5 wt fork oil will help...

i have 35k on the scooter..taken very good care of it, its like new....maybe better.

it started right after the kit was installed...its leaking from the fork cover...i have up side down forks....looks like a cat pissed on my tire and wheel...in fact thats what i thought it was, but i moved my scooter to my hangar, and theres no cats in there..i have it up on stands front and rear...i hardly ride it anymore, but thinking next spring i need to put some miles on it......anyway...

Probably a leaky/cracked/pinched fork seal. Being that it's an easy job, I'd just take it apart and find the culprit. Riding it would be dangerous IMHO. Good winter project for you!

i just noticed that the racetech fork oil i used is 2.5/5 wt.

maybe something thicker that 5 wt..or will this screw up the valveing in the forks?
