After reading about everyone eles getting theirs I finally picked up my 2002 R1 today. I got a blue one.... so here it goes...everyone tell me I should have got the silver. LOL I have just always loved the blue. I had a deposit on silver then changed my mine after seeing it in person outside in the sun next to a blue one. The silver is sweet though. I only put 7 miles on it today because it is only 38 degrees here. Anyway, I will post some pictures soon. SpidermanSS I am going to do a tail job like yours ASAP. The rear fender has to go.

Nah! You made the right choice! The blue IS Yamaha! The red looks cool but when you see the blue coming at you, you KNOW IT'S A YAMAHA!!!/images/icons/cool.gif The silver looks too much like a rich man's bike. Good luck with the new bike.

Blue, Silver or Red, I think the 2002 R1 rocks. I got the Silver one and every time I see the Red, I think to myself should I have gone for it? I wanted an R1 and I got one. They all look good. So I think any color will do great.

You can't go wrong with any of the colors on any year R1. They all look sweet. I have to agree with OMR1 that the red is a sleeper. It looks great in person. One of my riding buddies has a red 2000 R1 and I love it becasue they are rare around here. WetWork999, I do race 125 cc shifter karts. I currently have a 2001 Tony Kart Mitox. I have been racing for 4 years and trying to get better every season. It hard to keep up with high budget teams so I am usaully in the middle of the pack but I am still having a blast. What brand of kart do you race WetWork999? There are some really nice kart tracks near Vegas. To everyone...Thanks for the nice comments on my new bike...you guys rock!

It's definitely a tough choice between the three. I'm kinda glad I'm not getting one as my mind changes daily on which one I'd buy!
Red / Black / Silver / or Gix1K / ??????????

Trackmagic Diablo, and am looking to get a Diablo II. I raced in the NE SKUSA Region up at Oakland Valley Raceway Park in NY. Great track with killer mgt. Once again best of luck with your R1 now if I would only get the call I have been awaiting... "your Silver R1 is here"

Why!?!?! With the new 954RR, Honda guys might be able to keep up with the Tyrannasaurus ZX9R now!/images/icons/laugh.gif

1. Look 100 times better!
2. Won't sell out
3. Handle so much better
4. Won't have the gixxer fuel injection hiccups

1. IYO
2. Brand loyalty causes you to miss out on a lot of sweet a$$ bikes, so it's a waste of time in other words.
3. Yeah right, IYO again.
4. All FI bikes have their hiccups. Suzuki was the first one to do it with the straight up sb's, so everybody else just copied off of what they already did.

You knew it wasn't gonna take long for a Suzuki rider to say something right/images/icons/laugh.gif.

yeah I know jmoney! The gixxer thou is # 2 on my fav list (the realistic one anyways!).. But seriously there isn't a hiccup or a glitch in the 02 r1 fuel injection ( I haven't found one yet and I was expecting some trust me). It does look better (In everyone true opinions!). Ok I am done messing around ride hard!
