ok, i know youve all probably been asked this a million times, but please bear with. what is the purpose of staggered jetting?? ie: my jet kit for my 7r came with size 172 for 1 and 4 cyl, and 182 for 2 and 3 cyl. with the needles shimmed accordingly. wouldnt the engine run more properly/efficiently if all they cylinders got the same amount of fuel? humor my inquiring mind.

Good question. I have often wondered the reason for the difference as well. Looking forward to seeing the answer /images/icons/smile.gif

Good one, I think I've read somewhere about the inner cylinders, 2 and 3, running hotter than 1 and 4, therefore a little more fuel is needed to keep the same A/F Ratio for all 4 cylinders. Not sure if this is even half correct, but I thought I would give it a shot.

KN7671....BINGO you win the $800,000 and the trip to Hawaii!! it also serves to make those cylinders run cooler than they would otherwise.
