Okay so i will restart this one. I am intrested in putting duals on my bike and i would like some input as to which system or slip on is the best. I am looking at :Arrow SBK $2000.00, Leo Vince $1400.00, Tig craft $ ?, Harris $1600.00, Renagade high or low mounts $1000.00-$1400.00,and Gianelli slip on $1300.00. If you have pics of any of these please post them and correct my prices if i am mistaken. Thanks a lot, also anyone in the Ft. Collins or Denver Colorado area?

Mike: You've selected probably the best of all of them and I guess it realy depends on what you want in an exhaust system. I talked to Mark Salisberg at PPIR and asked him the same question. I agree with his view about the the practicality of finding a canister that made the best HP and that is that one pipe does not make a significant enough HP differance over anyother exhaust cannister and that your dicission should be based more on other factors such as price, finish, styling, sound, etc. Marc is an Aprilia expert and uses a "real world" Dyno that simulates real wheel loads. Dynos can vary greatly between the brands and Marc, who works at FactoryPro has used the dyno to program an EPROM chip that really smooths out the power curve of the Mille with a few more HP, he will even custom your bike on the Dyno as well (he was at PPIR last year at the entrance to pit lane and I'm sure he'll be there June 2nd for the AMA Superbike Races). I know that my comments are going to stir-up the bee hive here but so be it. I personally like the sound(I heard it at Laguna) of the twin shotgun system that Renegade manufactures but I know that in the real world of dynos that Renegades Dyno readings are significantly different than those measured on different dynos. To throw in the last of my 2 cents worth I'd say that for me the Mille is plenty powerful already and I'm not going to shop for an exhaust system just because it make a couple of HP more. I want to be stylin'. Another thing if your lookin' for impressive performance accessories, ask anybody in this forum and they'll tell you that changing the sprocket will give you a wild(er) ride. I'm probably going to buy a renegad system when I see Jorge at Laguna this July. Man that System sounds and looks sweet. Let the bashing begin!!!

Steve

I just fit the Renegade Full system on my buddy Harry's bike tonight. He dynoed his stock Mille on a dynojet dyno last Saturday...108rwhp. We installed the air kit and full system and he hopes to go back to have it dynoed again this weekend. I know the story about different days etc, but it is not practical to try and install a full system between dyno runs....anyway, it will be interesting to see as the shop said they will keep his 1st dyno in the computer and do an overlay.

Jorge and I have started planning getting our booth at Laguna...look forward to meeting you and many others.

Oh, tonight John (Gecko) also brought his PC over and set it up in the garage /images/icons/laugh.gif and we recorded the before (stock) Mille and the after (Renegaded Mille).... WOW!

I think he'll try and post the sound files tomorrow, right John ? /images/icons/wink.gif

Jim: First off, your bike is one of the best lookers I've seen and it has inspired my decission to buy the same Renegade system soon. I think that what you and Jorge have done is an admirable job of making a product that sportbike riders want. I want to thank you for taking the initiative to make such a unique system for the Aprilia Mille - you kind of have taken the lead by making an exhaust system that seems to be exclusive to the Mille (sort of what Termonilli (i know I missed the spelling but you know which one I'm talking about!) did for Ducati. Keep up the good work guys, see ya at Laguna.

The Banana Man comith and slipith away for the night. Good night

Funny you say that. Jorge's wife Tomoko said my low side was destiny /images/icons/laugh.gif. When they heard about it they called to see how my broken bike, bones and Renegade slip ons were doing. I started pestering Jorge to make a Full system for the Mille. I was a fan of their exhaust but wanted a true system....he hmmmed and hawwweddd and went to the drawing table. he called my arse and woke me up one morning and said, "Jim, I've done it" He was very excited as he was able to get a system that truly gives the Mille the exhaust it deserves.

Over the winter our discussions turned and Jorge asked me and John (Gecko) to head up the USA divison for Renegade. I know my posts will sound biased now that I have a vested interest in the product...but I can honestly say that anybody that purchases the full system , EPROM and air kit will thank me. I have it on my bike, Gecko has it and we installed Harry's this evening....we had all three bikes in my garage and we were grinning ear to ear....the power gains are exceptional, the mid range is sooooo smooth and pulls so hard...best of all, they sound amazing.

I am truly proud to be associated with Jorge, Tomoko and Renegade....
