Well after many changes of mind I've finally made my mind up and ordered a new bike. The decision process went like this:
11 years of gixer 750s - great fun but no longer comfortable or toquey enough - getting too old and lazy for them.
TL1000R should be a torquey gixer - found out through magazines and forum it's not - handles questionably.
Can't live with busa styling.
Gixer thou is awesome and torquey compared to 750 but ergonomics are just as poor.
Oh no - I may have to buy something other than a Suzuki....
ZX9R and ZX12R recommended on this forum (no-one recommended both. In fact I caused some ZX9 vs ZX12 debates/arguments asking questions about them)
Didn't like front styling of ZX12 and handling reported as worse than busa, didn't like UK colour schemes of ZX9.
All looking lost when 2002 ZX12R pics first appear....handling improved.....snatchy throttle response improves.......front restyled.......mid-range improved.....hmmmmmm.
So yesterday I orderred a blue, 2002 ZX12R and I'll be holding my breath for the next 4 weeks that it's every bit as good as I think it should be.
Anyway thanks for the help over the last 8 months and I'll let you know what it's like in due course.
