Woo Hoo! My wife and I came to an agreement... after paying off some credit card bills, rather than spending the remaing tax refund on putting in a new patio in the back yard... she agreed that if we got the landscaping around the house finished (her want), I could buy a 1 piece Dainese Race suit!

I'm ready to order fellas... who's got the best prices on Dainese Leathers in the US?

Thanks,
M.

Sheesh? This is the size guide for Dainese leathers from motorace.com! I'm 5'8" weigh about 170lbs, 34 inch waist... none of these sizes fit me!

Anybody here have a similar build to me? What size did you get? I know the leathers can and will stretch out to some degree... seems like the Euro size 50 gives me a the right height and close weight, but 30 waist? I dont think I can stretch the suit out 4 more inches?

The 52 suit might work a little better at 32" waist, but its for someone 5'10"... I wonder if the extra length would just tuck in the boots a little more?

Any help advice is appreciated...This is the yellow safety pro suit I've been looking for... I realize its been discontinued by Daines, but I hope I can still find one out there somewhere.

I second 748's post - Check with Franz before you buy, and why are getting a 1 piece. A 2pc is cheaper and WAAAAAAY more versatile.

You might be able to get a deal on leftovers at MotoRace's website, though. So check both.

I agree with both DUC748 and scotteq with dainese.be. Franz will be more than glad to take care of you. I got a backspace 3,new sliders and shipping cheaper than I could get the back protector here for. Again, thanks for the link DUC748.

Thanks guys, I knew I could count on you...

Why a 1 piece? I already have a 2 piece, and besides my inner squid is coming out I guess...

BTW, my friend has a 1 piece Ducati "Official Rider" suit which is also made by Dainese, its a size 58 which corresponds to an individual 225lbs, 6'4" Tall, and 38 inch waist! My friend is no where near those dimensions, he's only slightly larger build than me!

I guess Italians must be tall skinny dudes?

I'm gonna try his suit on this weekend, I'm guessing that a size 56 would suit me well.

I also found a website in UK that sells Dainese at discount... this guy bought a store's inventory of leathers very cheap and now sells them to his friends and the locals in his small village bike shop...

These leathers were in a wharehouse that caught fire... although the leathers werent damaged, their insurance company said to just sell the leathers and they would make up the difference buying them all new next years models...

The guy said that the leathers initially had a smokey odor to them, but all have been professionaly drycleaned and are like new now...

I'm still waiting on a price from him. I'll also check with Franz.

Thanks Again,
Mark

Wow.. again Dainese.be is more popular then i thought. Yes if you want to buy a Dainese suit then get it from Dainese.be. Frans is great. I just bought my 2 pc 'K' from them and at 5'11 135lbs 32 waist i got a 50 in a 2 pc. Different styles will vary in size a little but you'll most likely be pretty close to what my size is. I could actually have gone down 1 size but i plan on gaining more weight. Given that you weigh more then i do you might want a 52 at least.

Frans sells off the rack apparel, I don't believe their is any custom work being done but it doesn't hurt to ask.

The T-Age 1 and two piece suits come in more colors than white.

Here is a link to the catalog pages (model years 2001 and 2002).

You will need Adobe Acrobat to view the files and WinZip to extract them.
