i want to replace the rear tail section on my 2001 R6 with a champion tail. will i be able to order this, or are there restrictions on the champion editon's from yamaha. like do i need the champion number and stuff.

also: can somone give me a pic of an R6 champion tail from behind. i need to know if it the Undertail is blue like mine.

also: for you PHOTOSHOP junkies, wana put a champion tail on the regualar 2001 r6 for me?/images/icons/smile.gif

you can order it from yamaha, but it will cost ALOT more than the normal factory colors. i thought about buying a champ edition front for my R1, and it was like $100 more.

The only diff (that i can tell) on the tail section is that it has a white
"number plate area" where a regular bike would have blue.
(and) to answer your other question, yes the undertail is blue.

i wanted to put that tail on my bike also. i think it would look sweet. i dont like the champion front end though. i also wanted the all black shiny lowers

I put the '00 model tail on my R6. It has the white wanted without the CE price. The front end was custom painted but I now have the real CE fairing-someone crashed it and I grabbed the fairing!
