Does anyone have an aftermarket camshaft installed? Erion has one for the F4i and I wonder if the 6-8 hp increase is worth the $790.00. Maybe there are others out there equally as good or better?

I purchased the HRC camshafts for my F4I back in November. HRCUSA in CA could not get them so a friend shipped them from Japan. There was a serial # break in the installation guide that specifies piston replacement, lift and duration issue. Anyway, I bought all the gaskets and pistons, had a dealer in TN install everything. They did a clean job and the bike ran good, idled fine. The dyno results gave me 6hp more right at the top end. Lost torque and hp in the midrange but gained back at the top so the grind was for racing, top end. After it was all done I spent almost 3K$ parts and labor. Maybe the Erion set won't require as much labor and mods. The gain of 6hp was disappointing but the mechanic said the 600cc is pretty much optimized already. What did I do?... sold the bike and bought the 954. Couldn't be happier. Good luck!
