Rumor has it that Brainerd International Raceway is once again for sale.

Tired of trying to find track day organizations to ride with?
Tired of trying to get days off work so you can get to the track?
Sick of paying high premiums to ride on tracks?
How would you like to be able to ride whenever you want, with whomever you want?

Maybe we should all get together and buy the darn track for ourselves! We could really do a lot with the track!

I'll search around and see if I can confirm this rumor. If BIR was sold, it could really put a damper on AMA races and track days. The next closest place for us in Minnesota to go see AMA racing would probably be at Road America. Makes for a long trip.

Closest track we have in Arkansas where AMA races is Barber. Close to a 7 hour drive.

I heard $10-12mil. But then again, I wouldnt be surprised if BIR went the way of Riverside International Raceway did in 88. Riverside is now a parking lot for a Shopping mall. :frown: BIR might turn into a high end resort or condo area.

that's fine, as long as it's a high end condo resort area for sportbike enthusists... :grin: oh, and the keep the track around... kinda like an upscale motorsports ranch in texas...
