Bought a Suzuki... but it is not what you think...

Mine looks like this, but it is the street-legal 2000 DRZ400S. What a blast! It is not nearly as quick as my 9R of course, but then again I cannot ride the 9R through creeks, grassy fields, and over curbs, at least not on purpose!

Bet you thought I was going to talk about 'my new Gixxer'. /images/icons/smile.gif/images/icons/wink.gif

I also looked at a KLR-650 but got a better deal on this one.

Yeah, I'll get to the wheelie stuff sooner or later /images/icons/smile.gif. The Kawi KLR 650 is supposed to be a great bike also, I really looked at one of those. Looks like you have a few dirtbikes yourself according to your profile!

Firedadddy, got it for a good price, a lot lower than blue book retail, and MUCH less than new. Plus it only had 1200 miles on it.

Hey, that is cool, you have an XR. I also took a good look at an 1996 XR250 with a punched out racing motor, lots of suspension mods, rebuilt engine, etc. Test drove it, talked the owner down on his price, almost bought it, but decided I really wanted a dual-sport. That XR was pretty cool though!

I had a friend who had the DRZ400 dirt only version. He raced it in the NETRA Enduro circuit and took home many trophies. You gotta love that electric start! You probably have the best Dual sport out there. Enjoy!/images/icons/cool.gif

Nice bike. What kind of handguards are those? I just ordered some of the solid aluminum bar type with plastic brush guards, I hear they will prevent broken levers and fingers.

My handguards are made by Acerbis®. There molded plastic with aluminum inserts. They've saved my fingers to many times to count. Excellent investment!
