Anyone know of an American company doing big bore conversions for VFR800's? I have seen an ad for A British guy that does it, but am looking for something stateside. Thanks

No American companies doing it that I can find, but Dynamo Humm in Ontario is the only one on this side of the Atlantic. Check 'em out at http://www.dynamohumm.com/. You can ship your motor to them, or take your whole bike there. I'm going with them for hot-rodding my VFR, once I get around to doing motor work.

Check out this VFR870 /images/icons/smile.gif:

I think the big bore kit is called either the Kawasaki ZZ-r1200, or Yamaha FJR 1300 (or even the FZ1!)

New 2001 Black FZ1!

Hah, nice comeback IanR1! /images/icons/laugh.gif. I have absolutely no intention of paying for a new bike when I can spend less to make my current streetbike behave exactly the way I want. Aside from the brakes and suspension (fixed on mine with a mixture of 929 and 954 parts /images/icons/smile.gif), there's nothing I really dislike about my '96 VFR, unless it's the weight. That's the next mod I'm looking at...motor work is pretty much last in my book.
