more INDY/yamaha exclusives from S1

guys, while in the yamaha customs tent (you know the tent i'm talking about), the one that goes round to all the shows with multitude of custom R1's... ie. stretched swingarms, 300mm rear tire kits, chrome, candy paint, etc. etc.

not to impune the hard work of all those customizers, but in and amongst all those yamaha "pigeons" i found a true CAT. the custom work of this cat is from an individual named dave lamerril. perhaps calling him a customizer isn't quite accurate... he's more of a fabricator. a fabricator along the lines of BIanchi, MOrri, and TAmborini (BIMOTA)...!!!

he's fabb'd a one off GP/WORKS chassis that uses yamaha R1 power. now this is how S1 defines "custom"...!!! i spoke with him at length and he says he's fabbed EVERYTHING himself. the twin spar chassis, the works caliber ally swingarm, the carbon fiber upper, and even carbon gas tank and the monocoque carbon fiber tail section...!!! it's called the stratus. what's even better is that he's from NJ. LOL and because the custom R1 pavillion is sponsored by 2 wheel tuner, he's going to be on the cover of that mag very soon. it may even be this month...? his project can be found here...
