Bike for my wife

My wife would love to learn to ride but she is short at 5' and 95 lbs. She loves the looks of sportbikes but there is no way her feet touch the ground and she is not interested in something like the Honda Rebel which was my suggestion to start on. Any women out there about this size and if so what do you ride? Suggestions?

The modern Nighthawk 250 is the same motor as the Rebel. In the 80's there was a Nighthawk 400 also ~

Hey Jarhead, I am Chief (Army). I am having the same issue. My wife is 4'9" and wants a sportbike as well. I ride a Gixxer 1000. Have you had any replies or do you have any suggestions? Thanks

Yep she is in love with the little 250 but that is still a stretch for her.

Find an old Monster 600. 31" seat height, cheap and not a ton of power ~

The are some 250 cruiser style bikes that are perfect for a vertically challenged person. If I remember right the suzuki 250 is really low

Ducati - all the good bits included!

Yea, the Suzuki is a GZ250 and looks about like a Rebel 250, pretty much same type motor & stuff. There is/was also a Vulcan 250. The only "V-twin" 250 ~
