I'm tryin' to be biased here but the R-1 doesn't look all that great. The 954 on the other hand. That bike looks freakin awesome. As for these glitches with the 954. What glitches? I have over 8,000 miles on mine already and no probs what so ever (except for a little buzziness). The R-1 is a nice lookin bike but the 98-99 model was a helluva lot better lookin.

that update campaign is mostly for those who attend track days. I don't take her over 150 all to often on public highways, so I don't really need the update.

You are joking aren't you sneaktip?[img]/images/icons/shocked.gif[/img] It's an issue that Honda themselves have recognized and have felt it necessary to inform their customers and you don't think it's an important "fix"???

For your own safety, please get the update. Incidentally, that notice did not indicate a specific speed. High speed can be 70mph for all we know.

I've attached some pictures a 954 owner sent me. He took these pictures of his steering stem just before the he had the update performed.
