CBR954RR + YZFR1 are equals

Looks like these two got together this time around. According to the current issue of motorcylist mag GSXR1000, is still #1 and the 954RR & R1, are even at #2! I bet you guys can tell where the ZX9R is rank this time around!

Re: CBR954RR + YZFR1 are equals

I'm not big on magazine comparos, they are all to often the result of who gives them the most money. I guess they are still a good way to get performance stats etc...

Re: CBR954RR + YZFR1 are equals

Most all of the choices of best bike are made on personal preference, or like you said who gives the most. Oh ya when is Kawasaki going to join the rest of the pack and up their performance standards, does anyone know? For the comfort and ability of my 02' R1 I am very happy with my purchase. Very much more happy than if I had purchased a gixxer1000 seeing as how I am not comfortable on that bike although it might be a millisecond faster than my R1 it still does not do it for me.

Ya C'mon

Every dog has its day. Kawasaki wore the crown, then it was Honda, then it was Yamaha, now it's Suzuki. It's a cycle (pun not intended).

Re: CBR954RR + YZFR1 are equals

It doesn’t make any sense. The reviews of the R1 02 are so good. The handling, the appeal, the power, the smoothness, all top marked. The British ones are so impressed they just wana say its R1 this year. The Suzuki has made no changes for this year, still the same. But like you say it all comes down to who pays the most (could be whatever).
My R1 02 is the best choice I made.

You have to wonder who really writes these articles huh. What really gives. When you are talking about comparisions that are so friggin close. It does come down to the manufacturer and money. I have an 02 R-1. I sat on them all, read all about them. Well guess what came out on top? I am riding the friggin thing.

Do one thing everyday of your life that scares you........

Yeah but most of the advertising is done by Honda. They have four times as much advertisements as Suzuki. If that was the case, wouldn't the Honda take 1st?

My best guess back in 99! After few hundred launch they were able to hit 9.98 sec, in the 1/4 mile!
