Re: good news and bad news

terra you should get rid of them both and get that kawasaki 2stroke.

that thing is awesome, i think you can bring it back when you're done there too.

it was up in the kawi forum, real cool bike.

Re: good news and bad news

I rode my friends 03 R1 and while I did enjoy the power I didn't feel as comfortable on it. I liked the way my R6 felt while leaned over... hopefully the new R1 can come closer.

Re: good news and bad news

I know what ya mean.....I had hayabusa to RC51 then to 03 R6....For me I'm happy as a lark.....My other toy is Buell XB12S so I have best of both worlds.... If I wanted to run 190 i would have kept Busa. But Ks turnpike cops were gonna get me sooner or later or a squirrel crossing the road..... The Rc51 was fabulous...but I wasnt racing...The R6 is just right like the 3 bears story....and the Buell loved the Dragon at deals gap sooooo. What kinda riding do you want to do is the question? I can still do 150 + on R6..fast enough.

I'd say you'd need to give it some time. Sure you'll feel more comfortable riding your own bike you're very familiar with. Also, riding a friend's bike is always a little nerve racking. The R1, or any bike given time, should feel very comfortable to you. Example, I feel more comfortable on my busa than I do on a 600. Is it because my busa handles the corners better? No. It's because I ride my bike all the time and I know what it feels like. Every bike is going to feel different. Don't be scared of change.
