I'd be much more interested in an updated, less maintenance intensive ST3/4
I just don't feel the big displacement, dual sport thing and if I did, the KTM 990 is damn hard to beat for actual, off road acumen. Maybe the Duc will be mch lighter than the KTM or BMW which would be a serious coup but if not, I am not thinking Italian when I am tackling the Gobi desert.
like prissy multistrada owners are going to try and take that thing to places where the GS goes
Can you imagine if Ewan and Charlie had taken the MS the Long Way instead of a GS? They would have had to trace around the world following Ducati dealerships.
Honestly that's the most elaborate offroading I would ever be doing...however though the new look is infinitely better looking than the present model. I would still rather have a Vstrom or Versys
The new MS 1200 site is up and I have to rescind my earlier comments. Seeing the whole thing, I think it looks pretty good, and that snout is not as distracting as before.
interesting... they're using that headlight profile ala 1098/Desmo almost as a signature look the way BMW has used the double kidney shape since they began making cars
I like it, but I'm not fond of the beak, similar to the HM. It appears to have ram-air openings, but it looks odd. Everything else looks nice. I like the small exhaust :waytogo
