I go to Daytona Bike Week every year, and Biketoberfest there as well. I got my 2001 Blue Aprilia the day before I left for bike week, so I took my trusty, broken in, gsxr. I think I saw about 2000 gsxr's a lot of them gsxr1000's. They are bad ass no doubt, was thinking of one of them over the aprilia, but wanted something different. Also saw about 2000 R1's, no doubt a good bike also, several of my friends have them and love them. I have all kinds of bikes myself and have in the past. But it was nice to only notice 4 aprilias there, and i did see 1 falco. Didn't see any blue RSV's there, which I liked even better, especially since it's my favorite color. Saw Busa's everywhere and a few ZX12's...Saw probably 30-40 Ducati's. I was there from tue to sunday...

syclone - click on the link for your attachment and copy the URL (control C). Then go back and modify your post (the left most link in the upper right of your post) Paste (control V) your link inside the following command:

***your link here****

All you have to do is spell 'image' correctly.

I'd do it for you, but it's better if you learn how. /images/icons/smile.gif

Now, let's see that bike of yours!

Whats up syclone dude. First off let me just say that the picture of you bike might as well be a fat dog turd. What the hell is that thing? Looks like a scooter on crack. But hey, thats just my opinion. Some people might like the way that thing looks. Just letting you know what I think. You need to get a real bike. A HARLEY DAVIDSON! VROOOOOOOM! Man those things sound awsome when they are reving up!

BIG Daddy....over and out!

It sound to me like someone is jealous!

Big_Daddy. What the hell gives you the right to use the words "real bike" and "awsome" in any paragraph with the words HARDLEY ABLESON??????

Perhaps spell check would be good now.hehehe

Later,
Rob

Hey Big-Daddy, The way you have been talking, I wished I had a Harley Davidson. They must be some kind of super fast bike? I bet they accelerate, corner and stop with the best of them./images/icons/laugh.gif

i had a harley, was just too slow, didn't like the fact that it was outdated, 1950's technology, and cost too much at that. But if that's what you like fine. I'd rather have 4-5 bikes for the price of a new harley. I had a Buell also, was a good handling bike, but after about 70mph my corvette can outrun the hell out of it, not to mention just about any other bike, well except a harley! Now if Buell would just put one of the vrod motors in their new firebolt....now that would be starting down the right track. Heck it would basically be about where the japanese bikes were right about 1986! About the only "cruiser" type bike I would ever own, would be a Vmax or a custom bike with a fatass 230 or wider rear tire, with some big cubes under the tank, but about the only time I'd want to really ride it would be at Bike week.....but then, I'd see bikes just like it everywhere. Plus my harley wouldn't wheelie...

I don't care how many wheelies I see, I will never stop being in awe of them. It really sucks when no matter how much I want to, I just can't pull a proper wheelie /images/icons/frown.gif.

I was in Daytona from Sunday to Saturday with my new Blue '01 Mille. It was a good time, but would have been better to see some more Aprilias. I only saw 2 black 01's and a Falco.
Unfortunately, the trip wound up being not-so-sweet at the end as 5 of our 6 bikes (inluding my Mille with only 850 mi) got stolen along with the trailer they were about to leave on. We were leaving at 8am; finished loading everything up at 6, and at 6:40 the whole trailer was gone.
Bike was sweet while I had it.

I don't understand why anyone would want a large hulking piece of outdated proportions that can't corner, accelerate, grip or even wheelie like a superbike.

And the dude says that Aprilia looks like a scooter on crack? Personally, I think grand touring bikes (like the police motor patrol bikes) look like obese scooters.

Never argue with an idiot, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Thanks Blakstarr,
I saw that last week. Not mine; I still have my seat hump and front fender (CF one on bike at time of theft).
Good looking out though!
Take care,
Aaron
