So, what--you figure you don't need to "sticky" this thread because you put the word "beer" in the title? :smirk:

Morning.

Early morning for me. Went to the farmer's market... Picked up a nice $10 beef fillet for the GF and some "london broils" for me (steak and sausage rolled up and wraped in bacon).

They had a Sushi bar that had some Mennonites making the sushi. weird.

The beer in the title was to hopefully inspire someone to over drink and start posting in the chat thread. I miss reading the old drunked chats... I think John95F3's were my favorite....

Great title IRR, I'm on my 9th beer of the day

Just finished my homework for the weekend. Torque is the combustion pressure applied to the crankshafts leverage

Can anyone suggest a good long lasting touring tire? I need a new front and figure I should get something that will last as long as possible since there aren't many good twisties here in FL compared to what I used to ride in North GA

The Michelin Pilot Roads that I put on my Beemer are wearing very well. I believe they have updated this tire recently so the newest version might even be better. They grip pretty damn well, even trying to keep up with Crud and Fuzz on their Speed Trips wearing Powers..

Ultimate grip is better on the Powers, of course but the Roads ain't bad.

metzeler Z6's also work as touring tires.

plus they have decent grip in the rain, which i imagine happens in florida occasionally.

Morning all,
Spent a fair amount of yesterday rounding up parts for various projects. Unfortunately, my usually very reliable Triumph dealer wound up sending me home with a few wrong ones. Now, I'm not nervous yet but the Deal's Gap trip is looming large on the horizon and there is a lot of stuff still not in my garage for installation. Oh well, I'm sure I will get it together but it might be a "Biker Build Off" last minute thrash. Hopefully my forks show up this week.
On a positive note, the decal set I ordered for the Tuono finally arrived. It sounds like Aprilia is finally getting the parts system sorted.

Slow weekend.

Went to paintball and now my HPA tank doesn't want to unthread from my gun- the regulator just wants to unthread. :frown:

I just got back from a neat little overnighter

My friend's uncle was having a bday party down in san diego, so she called me afterwards, said she'd taken her bike down there, and wanted to take the long way home, so I headed down there late evening to Loma Point, spent the night down there, and spent today working our way up north, despite gloomy weather all day. We went up Palomar, and she was quite the trooper... kept going even though it was snowing lightly when we got to the cafe up there... Nothing hot tea and sitting in front of a heater didn't cure. Didn't even phase her to do all this on her week-old 600rr...

all in all we did about 400 miles, had Linner, and called it a day. /wwwthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Yeah; the Honda is over 50,000km

It's been parked for a couple weeks due to the snow and ice on the roads. I'm not happy.
