OFFICIAL CBR100RR SPECS

From the looks of it the 1000 has 172hp and weighs 179kg which I think is 395lbs. 172HP@11,250rpm's. SOOO maybe the Honda is gonna be out front after all. Keep in mind the Honda is gonna have the torque of the buch with its more liter bike stroke length. Can someone translate this article? Also look at the naked pic. Is that a real ram air duct extending forward of the frame?

ouch, after looking at the zx-10 it has 175hp and 184 with ram air assist! :

for comparison they have the r1 at 172hp and 180 assist and 170kg

The power rating, 172PS, is expressed in a metric unit that's close, but not quite equal, to horsepower. It converts to 170hp, but that's the typical manufacturer's rating at the crankshaft. Allowing for 15% losses through the drive train, it should dyno at around 145hp at the rear wheel when the magazines finally get one to test.

As I wrote in another thread, the 395lb "dry" weight will become 460lb or so ready-to-ride with a full tank of gas.

ya ya dry weights aren't wet weights but they give you a good idea of what the weight wait will be. I've seen dry weights be anywhere from 50-70lbs ligther than wet weights though...depends on the size/type of bike.

Im not so sure that there's 15 percent loss in a motorcycle drivetrain. Cars, yes, but bikes...I dont think its that much. No driveshaft, rear diff or two axles to to rotate through the rear diff.
